Record Release

Cleaning

Each parent is asked to do at least 8 co-op hours each year. Co-op Hours are done over the summer and are devoted to getting the school ready for a new school year. There are 4 Saturday workdays scheduled, 2 in June and 2 in August. Alternate jobs are also assigned which can be done at the parent's convenience. Jobs include painting, repairing, cleaning, library work, straightening supplies, etc.
Parents may pay $250 each in lieu of doing Co-op Hours.
Cleaning is done on weekends any time between Friday night and Sunday night, except for Sunday morning when another group uses the building. The school is divided into 4 PODS. Families are assigned to the POD that includes their child's rooms if at all possible. Each POD decides how to schedule their cleaning. In most cases, families are assigned to one weekend a month. The job usually takes 2-3 hours. We have a professional cleaning company who does the floors, bathrooms, and trash cans. Parent cleaners do the rest.
Parents may pay a buyout fee of $450 per family in lieu of cleaning.

Committee Work

Each parent is asked to do at least 20 hours of committee work per year. We have a variety of committees, including School Service, Grounds, Maintenance, Newsletter, Social, Computers, etc. We assign parents to one of their 3 choices if possible, although new parents sometimes can't get one of their choices the first year.
Parents may pay $250 each in lieu of serving on a committee.
